CVS: Cheap paper goods

Like Walgreens, CVS had amazing Black Friday deals but has been pretty weak since. With over $37 in Extra Care Bucks burning a hole in my wallet, I was really eager to get a great deal! So I decided to do the deal where you receive a $10 gift card for purchasing $30 in products.

I sat down with a calculator and looked over the possibilities. Ultimately I decided to fall back on what I buy with Extra Care Bucks when they're about to expire: toilet paper. Yep, it's not glamorous, but it's necessary. I also picked out some paper towels and tissues, and was able to come up with a deal where I only went 30¢ over the necessary $30 in products.

Here's what I got:

2 Scott bath tissue, 12 rolls @ $7.49 = $14.98
- 2 $2 off Scott Extra Soft bath tissue 8 rolls + AND Scott towels 4 rolls + printable
= $12.98 for two, or $6.49 each

2 Scott paper towels, 6 rolls @ $4.99 = $9.98
- 2 $2 off Scott Extra Soft bath tissue 8 rolls + AND Scott towels 4 rolls + printable
= $7.98 for two, or $3.99 each

4 Kleenex, 184 ct @ 3/$4.00 = $5.34
- $0.50/3 Kleenex Boxes or Bundle Pack, exp. 1/1/12 (SS 12/04/11)
= $4.84 for four, or $1.21 each

Total product before coupons: $30.30
Total product after coupons: $25.80
Pay with $25.33 in ECBs ($5.99, $4, $3.99, $3, $2.99, $2.87, $2.49) from Black Friday and two weeks ago

Total products after ECBs: 47¢
Tax: $1.82

Total out of pocket: $2.29
Total saved: $44.45
Received $10 gift card
