ALDI: Cheap salad

This week at ALDI, salad veggies were on sale - tomatoes, cucumbers, and multicolored peppers. The only thing missing was lettuce, but luckily I have some left over from a previous week. Can't wait to have nice, healthy, colorful salads this week!

Here's what I got on two trips to ALDI:

Trip 1:

1 baby carrots @ 99¢
1 milk @ $3.39
1 chocolate chip cookies @ $1.89
4 cans tuna @ 68¢ = $2.72
1 whole wheat crackers @ $1.39
2.47 lb bananas @ 33¢/lb = 82¢
1 cream cheese @ $1.19

Total spent: $12.39

Trip 2 (pictured above):

2 gallons milk @ $3.39 = $6.78
2 dozen eggs @ $1.19 = $2.38
1 16-oz shredded cheddar cheese @ $3.29
2 packages multicolored peppers @ $1.19 = $2.38
1 3-lb Red Delicious apples @ $3.69
1 3-pk tomatoes @ 99¢
3 cucumbers @ 35¢ = $1.05
1 cream cheese @ $1.19
4 cans beans @ 59¢ = $2.36
1 instant oatmeal @ $1.49
1 nonfat dry milk @ $6.99
1 whole wheat bread @ $1.29

Total spent: $33.88
