ALDI: Lots of cheap fruit!

This week's ALDI sales included lots of fruit! I was so happy to see strawberries and blueberries on sale this week, as they are two of my family's favorite fruits. I picked up two package of each, and I'll definitely be returning before the end of the sales week to get more.

I also picked up some cantaloupe and bananas, as well as the usual dairy items. Also, I noticed that ALDI was now carrying canned Great Northern (white) beans! These were not there the last time I checked the bean shelf. I happily picked up a couple of cans for my Garlic-Parmesan White Bean Mash.

Here's what I got on the trip:

2 gallons milk @ $3.19 = $6.38
2 dozen eggs @ $1.49 = $2.98
1 apple juice concentrate @ 99¢
2 cream cheese @ $1.19 = $2.38
1 cottage cheese @ $2.19
2 16-oz strawberries @ $1.49 = $2.98
2 pints blueberries @ $1.39 = $2.78
1 cantaloupe @ $1.19
2.22 lb bananas @ 44¢/lb = 98¢
1 juice pouches @ $1.89
2 Great Northern beans @ 59¢ = $1.18
1 dozen mini bagels @ $1.99
1 20-ct tortilla @ $1.99

Tax: 12¢
Total spent: $30.02

This is not a good deal. They should have their prices the same everywhere. But they dont. In my area Aldi had Cantaloups 99/Strawberries 1.19/Blackberries 79/Grapefruit 5lb bag 1.49

@Anonymous: I live in South Florida, where prices are generally higher due to higher transportation, rent, and labor costs. I can understand that ALDI would raise their prices for my area; Publix has higher prices here than they do in other areas. This is the best deal I could get in my area. We can only do as well as we can in the place where we are.
