Went over budget on purpose!

Besides my Publix trip this week, I also went to ALDI to get the basics and the kosher supermarket to get kosher meat.  Between these two trips, I spent more than my weekly $80 budget.  But that is okay, since the meat will last a few weeks, maybe through the end of the year.

Here's what I got:

ALDI:

2 gallon milk @ $3.19 = $6.38
2 dozen eggs @ $1.49 = $2.98
2 apple juice concentrate @ 99¢ = $1.98
1 24-oz cottage cheese @ $1.99
1 whole wheat crackers @ $1.25
1 head lettuce @ $1.19
1 box shells & cheese @ $1.39
1 pancake syrup @ $1.69

Total spent: $18.85

Kosher supermarket:

5.38 lb boneless chicken breasts @ $4.99/lb = $26.85
8.30 lb whole chicken twin pack @ $2.99/lb = $24.82
3.79 lb ground chuck @ $4.99/lb = $18.96

Total spent: $70.68

It is okay to spend extra in my mind on certain things like you said meat. Regardless would rather have less meat and a better product. Happy thanksgiving.
