My mom used to do the most amazing black eyed peas in a pressure cooker, so I'd probably do that!

I would cook a recipe my mom used to make with her pressure cooker when I was young. She made chicken fried steak,...fried only light brown and then added it in the pressure cooker with a watered down gravy,..it cooked up so nicely. Meat and gravy in minutes.

My mother used to can almost everything. The canner I inherited from her is more than 50 years old. I'd love to get a modern canner and start canning vegetables from my garden. Also, I would like to try to cook a roast in a canner.
