ALDI: Whoopie! (Pie, that is.)

I did my holiday food shopping at ALDI.  I was well-stocked with canned and boxed items, so I mainly had to buy my produce there.  I did find a great deal on a pumpkin spice whoopie pie mix, so I got that as well.  They were a little more spicy than I liked, but the kids loved them!

Here's what I got:

1 Romaine hearts @ $1.99
1 mini cucumbers @ $1.79
2 celery @ 69¢ = $1.38
1 grape tomatoes @ $1.59
1 baby carrots @ 99¢
1 3-lb apples @ $2.99
1 3-lb sweet potatoes @ 99¢
2 gallons milk @ $3.19 = $6.38
2 apple juice concentrate @ 99¢ = $1.98
1 cottage cheese @ $1.99
1 head lettuce @ $1.19
1 dried cranberries @ $1.39
2 cream cheese @ 99¢ = $1.98
1 canned pumpkin @ 99¢
1 salt @ 35¢
1 mandarin oranges @ 69¢
1 refried beans @ 79¢
1 pumpkin whoopie pie kit @ $1.29
1 sandwich bags @ $1.99
1 instant oatmeal @ $1.49
1 20-ct tortillas @ $1.99
1 large eggs @ $1.49
2 whole wheat bread @ $1.29

- $5 off $30 ALDI newspaper coupon

Tax: 12¢

Total spent: $36.39
Total saved compared to ALDI full prices: $6.20

It was in my local newspaper on a Sunday in the beginning of November, in a full-page ad for ALDI. I used the coupon from my copy a couple of weeks ago, and I got another coupon from a relative's newspaper. I should've bought another couple of papers that day...
