Outburst Energy Bites Review

The day here at the Frugal Follies family home starts early - 5:40 a.m. to be exact.  That's when I get up to make sure my eldest daughter wakes up in time for high school.  She has to leave the house by 6:15 in order to get to the bus stop in time to get on the bus.

The rest of the morning is spent getting the younger two ready for elementary school and middle school.  Once they are on their way, it's time for me to work on home projects, bargain shop, and of course write blog posts.  By the time the kids start getting home in the afternoon, I'm tired.

But there's no time for rest there - then the kids have afterschool activities that I need to get them to, and they need help with their homework.  And dinnertime is beckoning.  I really could use a nap at this point, but there's no time!

Recently, I tried a product that has been helping me get through the afternoon doldrums.  They're called Outburst Energy Bites.

With three varieties including Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut, and Chocolate Mint, Outburst Energy Bites taste great and appeal to a diverse group of consumers, including college and graduate students, busy moms on the go (that's me!), entrepreneurs, professionals, and athletes, who all need extra caffeine to get them through the day.

Outburst Energy Bites are a great vehicle for people seeking to reduce coffee and soda intake with a portable and inexpensive alternative. Outburst Energy Bites can also provide a bigger caffeine boost than popular non-diet sodas or blended coffee drinks with just a fraction of the sugar and calories. Energy Bites provides a sweet way to get a caffeine fix as a unique alternative to energy drinks, energy shots, energy bars and expensive blended coffee drinks.

And what did I think of them?

First of all, they are delicious!  They are a good alternative to a snack in the afternoon.  They satisfied the chocolate craving I often get at mid-day.  And the good news is that each Energy Bite is only 12 calories.  (So much better than drinking a caffeinated, non-diet soda!  And I prefer not to drink diet soda.)

My favorite flavor was the Chocolate Mint - I liked the combination of flavors.  The Peanut kind was almost like having a peanut M&M. (If you have a peanut allergy, you should avoid all of the Energy Bites products.) And it goes without saying that I liked the chocolate flavor as well.  But even though they taste good, keep them away from your children.  They don't need the extra caffeine - they have plenty of energy already!

The packaging gives a serving as 4 Energy Bites, but I found that I did better with just 2 or 3 as a serving size.  With 4, I was a little too jumpy - the way I am when I have coffee in the afternoon, which is why I avoid it.  Two or three gave me the energy boost I needed without being too shaky or jumpy.

And I definitely got an energy boost from it.  No thoughts about taking a nap - I was able to get the things I needed to do done.  But it didn't keep me awake all day - I was still able to get a good night's sleep that evening.

I also liked the packaging - it was small enough to keep in my purse so that I could get a burst of energy even when I was on the go, without the hassle and expense of picking up a coffee drink.

Overall, I enjoyed trying out Outburst Energy Bites!  If you'd like to try them, visit the Energy Bites website for more information on the product.  You can purchase a sample set of the three flavors or a set of 24 boxes of your favorite flavor from the website.  No retail locations are currently listed on the site, but I'm sure they'll be in stores in your area once the word gets out about this great product!

And here's a great deal: Use the code FRUGFOLL to buy 2 Sampler Sets of Outburst Energy Bites for the Price of 1! You'll receive 6 boxes of Outburst Energy Bites for just $4.50 (+ applicable shipping). Great deal!

(I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.)
