Milk for $2.50 per gallon!

I made a special trip over to the Western Beef supermarket in my area because of two great deals there.

First of all, from today through next Thursday, milk is $2.50 per gallon!  There's a limit of two gallons per customer at this price.  That's 39¢ per gallon cheaper than ALDI, which normally has the least-expensive milk in my area.

Second, they have 4-lb bags of Domino sugar for 99¢ with a purchase of $10 or more.

So this seemed like an easy deal: get two gallons of milk, $5 in sales-priced produce, and then get the sugar.  Easy!  No couponing or complex planning necessary.

Here's what I got:

2 gallons milk @ $2.50 = $5.00
3 cucumbers @ 3/$1.00 = $1.00
1 sleeve celery @ 99¢
1.94 lb green pepper @ 89¢/lb = $1.73
2 heads iceberg lettuce @ 50¢ = $1.00
3.92 lb bananas @ 59¢/lb = $2.31
1 4-lb bag Domino sugar @ 99¢

Total spent: $13.02
