ALDI: Another two trips

I've been trying to cut my two ALDI trips a week down to just one.  This would save me a lot of time, not to mention gas.  But I just haven't been able to yet.

Earlier this week, I made a run to get milk and a few other must-have items.  But I forgot to check my baking supplies, and yesterday I discovered I was almost out of flour and brown sugar, two of the main ingredients in the challah that I make every Friday.

So it was back to ALDI again.  (I could've bought these items at my Publix stop, but I just can't bring myself to pay $3.19 for a 5-lb bag of flour when I know it's at ALDI for $1.69.)  And while I was there, I picked up some eggs, as the price had dropped, and some produce that was cheaper there than at Western Beef, my other planned stop for the day.

Here's what I got in the two trips:

ALDI trip 1:
2 gallons milk @ $2.89 = $5.78
1 cottage cheese @ $2.29
1 apple juice concentratre @ 92¢
1 cream cheese @ $1.19
1 whole wheat bread @ $1.29

Total spent:  $11.47

ALDI trip 2:

3 dozen eggs @ $1.19 =  $3.57
1 2-lb Fuji apples @ $2.79
1 3-lb onions @ $1.39
1 lb strawberries @ $1.49
1 2-lb brown sugar @ $1.49
1 baby carrots @ 99¢
1 sandwich bags @ $1.99
1 5-lb all purpose flour@ $1.69
1 whole wheat bread @ $1.29

Tax: 12¢
Total spent: $16.81
