Walgreens: High out-of-pocket, sigh

Again at Walgreens, I had a rather large out-of-pocket amount. But that's okay, because I was able to stock up on paper products that I needed. I also got some free toothpaste, cheap medicine for my kids, and some mushrooms for my Leftover Challah Stuffing for Thanksgiving.

Here's what I got:

2 Charmin Basic 6-pack @ $2.99 (with in-ad coupon) = $5.98
- $1/2 Charmin Product, exp. 11/30/11 (P&G 10/16/11)
= $4.98 for two, or $2.49 each

2 Viva paper towels @ $6 = $12
- 2 $1/1 Viva Big Rolls Paper Towels, exp. 12/18/11 (SS 11/06/11)
- $3/2 Viva Paper Towels (Walgreens November booklet)
= $7 for 2 packs, or $3.50 each

2 Geisha mushrooms @ 59¢ (with in-ad coupon) = $1.18

2 Children's Advil @ $4 = $8 (receive $3 RR)
- 2 $1.10/1 Advil Children's Product printable
=  $5.80 for two, or $2.90 each ($1.40 each after RRs)

3 Crest Complete @ 3/$9 (receive $3 RR)
- 3 $2/1 Crest Complete Toothpaste, Scope Dual Blast Rinse, Oral-B Complete Floss, or Oral-B Complete Toothbrush, exp. 12/31/11 (SS 09/11/11 R)
= $3.00 (FREE after RRs)

Total product: $21.96
Tax: $1.62
Total with tax: $23.58
Pay with $10 RR from last week
Total out of pocket: $13.58
Total saved compared to Walgreens full prices: $40.45
RRs received: $6

Ooh, thanks for reminding me that I have a $2 Children's Advil manu. coupon that printed out recently at Walgreen's. I hadn't noticed the sale going on this week. Thanks!
