CVS: Me? Clean?

Besides my Walgreens trip, I also made a trip to CVS today. I was most interested in this deal: Buy $10 in Cascade, Mr. Clean, or Swiffer products, receive $3 ECB.

Now I am not much of a clean freak, so I am rarely running out of cleaning supplies, and thus I don't buy all that much. Years ago, I bought a gallon jug of concentrated spray cleaner from a warehouse club, and I haven't needed to buy any kind of spray cleaner since. But I love those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, so I decided to get this deal.

I also got two antiperspirants, a tube of Colgate that was a moneymaker (I don't use Colgate, so it will be donated), and some feminine pads I found at the clearance shelf - they're normally $4.99, but they were on clearance for $1.25.  I ended up paying $13.97 out of pocket - much more than usual - partly because I only had one 74¢ ECB on hand.  But now I have almost $8 in ECB, so my out of pocket costs next week should be a lot less.

Here's the details:

1 Cascade Action Packs @ $4.00 (originally $6.49)
- $1 off Cascade coupon from the P&G Everyday Savings mailer
= $3.00

2 Mr. Clean Magic Erasers @ $3.00 (originally $3.49) = $6
- $1.50/2 Mr. Clean products from the 5/1 Procter & Gamble insert
= $4.50 for two, or $2.25 each

Receive $3 ECB for the above two purchases

1 Colgate MaxFresh toothpaste @ $2.77 (originally $3.29) - receive $2.77 ECB
-$1 off Colgate coupon from the P&G Everyday Savings mailer
= $1.77 ($1.00 moneymaker after coupons and ECBs)

2 Dry Idea antiperspirant @ $2.99 (originally $5.29), receive $1 ECB for each
- B1G1 Dry Idea coupon from the 5/1 RedPlum insert
= $2.99 for two, or $1.50 each (50¢ each after coupon and ECBs)

CVS maxi pads @ $1.25 (originally $4.99)

Total before tax: $13.51
Paid with 74¢ ECB from this trip
Total after ECBs: $12.77
Tax: $1.20
Total out of pocket: $13.97
Received $7.77 ECB
Saved: $19.56

That's not a bad trip at all! I wish I could have got some of the coupons that were in the bigger papers. You are all getting such great deals and us small towns are getting left out :) Thanks for sharing!
