Publix: Quaker state of mind

Last weekend, Publix had a 50% off sale on Quaker products, including oatmeal, cold cereals, and granola bars.

I have to admit, I got into a Quaker state of mind, and went a little crazy.  There were some great Quaker coupons in my free coupon inserts, so I used almost all of them. (This kind of sale is the reason why I collect so many of them!) I pretty much cleared the shelves of Quaker Oatmeal Squares; I felt bad and ended up leaving a few boxes, even though I had coupons for them.

My family now has lots and lots of instant oatmeal, which we will use up for sure.  And the kids were happy to see the granola bars, which I rarely keep in the house (I do buy them for my husband to bring to work).  And, of course, they wanted to try out all the flavors!

Here's my haul:

9 Quaker instant oatmeal @ $1.94 (50% off)
- 9 $1 off Quaker oatmeal coupons from the 1/2 RedPlum insert
= $8.46, or 94¢ each

8 Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal @ $2.44 (50% off)
- 8 $1 off Quaker Oatmeal Squares coupons from the 1/30 RedPlum insert
= $11.52, or $1.44 each

8 Quaker Chewy Granola bars @ $1.49 (50% off)
- 4 75¢/2 Quaker Chewy Granola coupons from the 3/13 RedPlum insert
= $8.92, or $1.12 each

Total product: $28.90
Used $5 off purchase of $30 or more Winn-Dixie coupon
Total out of pocket: $23.90
Total saved: $74.15
