Look what I got for $9.76 at Publix!

I ran to Publix for a quick trip on Sunday to get the necessities - milk, bread, cheese, that sort of thing.  Usually these trips end up being quite expensive because I don't have coupons for these basic items.  But this time, all this only cost me $9.76!

I was able to do the Knox gelatin money maker - I bought 2 Knox gelatin boxes and used 2 $4.00 off coupons from the 1/24 RedPlum coupon insert.  I wasn't sure if Publix would give me the overage, but they did!  Since then I've picked up far more free coupon inserts than I would usually get (they run a week late in my local free community newspaper), since each Knox coupon is worth $2.61 in free groceries!

Here's what I got:

1 gallon milk - $3.19 (no coupon)

2 Sargento shredded cheese at $2.00 each
- $.40/2 coupon from 1/31 SS
= $1.80 per item

2 Yo-Plus 4-packs, BOGO at $2.50

- 2 $1.00 printable coupons
= $.25 per 4-pack!

Philadelphia cream cheese, $1.89
- $1.00 coupon from Publix Grape magazine
= $.89

2 frozen juice concentrates at $1.25 each (no coupons)

2 Pepperidge Farm honey wheat bread, BOGO $3.69
- 2 $.50 coupons from 1/10 SS
= $1.35 per loaf

2 Knorr Sides, BOGO $1.59
- $.60/2 coupon from 1/31 RP and $.55/2 Publix coupon from 1/17 SS
= $.27 per item!

1 pack tortillas at $1.59 (no coupons)

2.43 lb bananas at $.69/lb = $1.68 (no coupons)

2 Knox gelatin at $1.39 each
- 2 $4 off coupons from 1/24 RP
= $2.61 overage per box or $5.22 total overage!
