Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers Review

Disclaimer: The Del Monte product, information, and additional gift pack have been provided by Del Monte.

I remember when my kids were little, traveling with them was pretty tough.  Diapers, of course, were a pain to change in an airplane bathroom.  And traveling at mealtime was the worst.  Bringing heavy glass baby food jars in the diaper bag was always a risk - what if one of the glass jars were to break?

But on a recent trip, I saw a great solution: the new food pouches that are out there now for applesauce and other food products.  I saw a mom with a small baby take out a pouch and a spoon, squeeze a little food onto the spoon, then feed it to her baby.  No extra carrying weight, no chance of glass breakage.  Brilliant!

Of course, the food pouches aren't just for babies - they're for anyone!  So I was really excited when Del Monte asked me to give two of their new Fruit Burst™ Squeezers products a try: Strawberry and Peach-Mango.

Fruit Burst™ Strawberry Squeezers, part of their Simply Fruit line, is a yummy blend of delicious fruit that kids will love. It's a squeezable snack with 1-1/2 servings of fruit. The Fruit Burst™ Peach Mango Squeezers combine fruits and vegetables - it contains pear, pumpkin, peach, mango, and carrot purees.

My middle daughter and I gave them a try.  She, of course, loved both flavors, though the strawberry was definitely her favorite.  She scarfed them down.  I was happy that she was getting more fruits and vegetables in her diet!

I noticed that the purees were very, very smooth.  That's perfect for feeding to a toddler, but if you prefer a chunkier fruit puree, you might be a bit disappointed.  As for flavor, I personally preferred the peach-mango because of its more complex combination of flavors.  But I can see where a picky child might prefer the single flavor of the strawberry over the peach-mango.

Overall, I loved them, and I definitely recommend them!

Fruit Burst™ Squeezers are also available in Blueberry, Mixed Berry, and Apple Cinnamon flavors.  They are available at your local grocery store.  You can also learn more about Del Monte through Facebook, Pinterest, or Twitter.
