Jennifer Speed October 4, 2013 at 1:07 AM

It would help me to stay on budget because I could use it to buy groceries instead of spending my own money and I would only be able to use the money that's on it.

With a prepaid card you can only spend what you have in your account but with a credit card you can mindlessly spend and go over your budget

Miss Sarah October 11, 2013 at 8:33 AM

I would pre load it each month with a set amount of "fun money". Then we would know exactly how much we have to spend on non essentials.

Anonymous,  October 19, 2013 at 2:34 PM

I'd stock up at the grocery store on specials especially items that store for long time (canned codes, frozen goods and dry goods).

Thanks for the giveaway…by using a prepaid card you can effectively limit overspending by setting limits in advance; a great way to get in the habit of budgeting specified household expenses.

Carolyn Daley October 21, 2013 at 1:19 AM

This gift card would make it easier to budget myself if I only allow myself to spend what is on the gift card. If my budget for a shopping trip is $50 and I believe I am about to go over the budget for the week then I may use the gift card for the balance that is over budget to keep me on track for the month.
