I invite you to link up to your best grocery deals below, to inspire others to save more!

Last week I shopped at both grocery and drug stores, but this week I kept it simple again and just went to ALDI and Publix. Gotta get back in the swing of things later on this week!

Here's what I got this week:

ALDI trip 1: Spent $20.84

ALDI trip 2: Spent $26.91

Publix: Spent $15.30, saved $42.32

I also made a trip to Walmart and purchased 2 6-packs of applesauce and 2 loaves of bread, spending $7.00.

Overall, this week I spent $70.05 for items which retail for $112.37, or a 38% savings based on the retail value of the products at the stores where they were purchased.

For the year (15 weeks), I spent $1,150.97 for items which retailed for $2,116.01 and saved $965.04, or a 46% savings. That's an average of $76.73 spent each week for a family of five (husband, wife, and daughters ages 15, 12, and 7), including lots of fresh produce, dairy items, and kosher meat, as well as paper and plastic goods, health and beauty items, and cleaning supplies.

In 2011, I spent $4,017.13 for items which retailed for $7,344.08, saving 45% and spending an average of $77.25 per week for the year.

In 2012, I spent $4,007.13 for items which retailed for $7,591.37, saving 47% and spending an average of $77.06 per week for the year.
