Since I've started limiting the amount of sugar my kids eat, snacks have become a big problem. They love cookies and cake, and I loved making homemade treats for them. I'll still make them for an occasional snack, but they aren't an everyday snack anymore.
So, I've had to use some creativity to figure out good yet inexpensive snacks. Popcorn is good, as long as they don't eat too much. And whole fruit, of course, is great. Yes, it has sugar, but it also has fiber which limits how much of the sugar ends up being stored as fat.
Cheese is good, as well. And they love string cheese, so I was excited to find this coupon for $1.00 off any ONE (1) Sorrento® or Precious® Stringsters® or Sticksters® Snack Cheese (10 oz. or larger). If I combine it with a supermarket sale, it should make for some fairly healthy and inexpensive snacks! That is, of course, if they don't eat the whole package in one sitting.
