Even though I shop at a lot of places to get the best deals, there's an option that I haven't tried yet: hotel and restaurant supply stores.

From what I hear, at these kinds of stores, you can get high-quality food for really low prices.  You might have to order in bulk for food items - for instance, potatoes might come in 50-lb sacks.  Way too much for the average consumer, but if you can split it with friends or have a way to preserve, you can really save compared to other shopping options.  You'll also find great deals on items like cookware, dishes, silverware, and other kitchen equipment.
