Saturday night starts the holiday of Chanukah. We'll be going to a party on Sunday night, with lots of potato latkes (pancakes) and doughnuts, both fried in oil to symbolize the holy oil that lasted for eight days from the Chanukah story.
Otherwise, we will definitely be avoiding fried foods!
Here's the plan:
Monday - 7-Spice Seasoning baked salmon over salad greens
Tuesday - veggie chili over pasta
Wednesday - spaghetti and meatballs, salad
Thursday - veggie burritos
Friday - baked whole chicken, pasta with garlic and oil, salad, challah
Saturday - grilled cheese with tomato soup
Sunday - Chanukah party!
