A rare ALDI coupon!

This week, there was a rare ALDI coupon: $5 off your purchase of $30 or more.  It appeared in Sunday's Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel main section (thanks to reader Anna for the heads-up!).  I was really happy to see that coupon!

Here's what I got with it:

Trip #1:

2 gallons milk @ $3.19 = $6.38
2 dozen eggs @ $1.39 = $2.78
1 5-lb flour @ $1.93
2 24-oz cottage cheese @ $1.99 = $3.98
2 honey wheat bread @ $1.29 = $2.58
1 3-lb apples @ $2.19
2 colored peppers 2-pk @ $1.29 = $2.58
2 frozen apple juice concentrate @ 99¢ = $1.98
3 cream cheese @ 99¢ = $2.97
1 celery @ $1.29
1 20-ct tortillas @ $1.99

- $5 off $30 ALDI coupon

Total spent:  $25.65

Trip #2:

2 chocolate sandwich cookies @ 99¢ (found in discount aisle) = $1.98
2 Gala apples @ $2.19 = $4.38
1 vine tomatoes @ $1.69
