Cheap costumes

Halloween is just about a month away, so it's time to start thinking about costumes.

I love homemade costumes. If you're crafty, you certainly can make a child's costume - or one for yourself! - for less money and a bit of creativity. Here are some sites with ideas for frugal costumes:
If you're not crafty, like me, you'll want to look for used costumes. See if you can get hand-me-down costumes from friends with older children. Or check your local thrift shop for costumes.  Another source is eBay or Craigslist, but prices might be higher at this time of year.   Make a note to look for next year's costumes just after Halloween.

If you still want to buy a new costume, check out BuyCostumes.com. They have lots of great deals on costumes. And as the time to Halloween gets closer, I wouldn't be surprised if they start issuing coupon codes - so watch here for more information!
