A fun shopping week (Wednesday Weekly Shopping)

Coupon Shopping
I invite you to link up to your best grocery deals below, to inspire others to save more!

This week's shopping was really fun!

I took two trips to Publix.  At the first, I combined coupons and sales to get food that my family likes to eat, but that I rarely buy because they're just too expensive otherwise - cheese sticks, the expensive kind of macaroni and cheese, feta cheese, crackers, and best of all, chocolate chip cookies!

And my second trip was for the Quaker sale, where my coupons were for any Quaker product breakfast or snack product, which meant I could pick whatever I wanted. So fun not to be limited to a particular product!

Here's what I got this week:

Overall, this week I spent $65.62 for items which retail for $137.38, or a 52% savings based on the retail value of the products at the stores where they were purchased.  (But don't compare percentages!)

For the year (34 weeks), I spent $2,546.88 for items which retailed for $4,890.61 and saved $2,343.73, or a 48% savings. That's an average of $74.91 spent each week for a family of five (husband, wife, and daughters ages 15, 11, and 7), including lots of fresh produce, dairy items, and kosher meat, as well as paper and plastic goods, health and beauty items, and cleaning supplies.

In 2011, I spent $4,017.13 for items which retailed for $7,344.08, saving 45% and spending an average of $77.25 per week for the year.

How did your shopping go this week? What bargains did you get? Please leave a link to your blog post about your weekly shopping. The aim is not to brag, but to inspire!  Please link up directly to your post, not to the blog itself. I'd appreciate it if you put a link to Wednesday Weekly Shopping in your post as well. Thanks for the link up. This was a fun shopping week for me, too. Mostly because I pretty much have only been shopping at Aldi all summer and have had a whole slew of houseguests and haven't used a coupon at all hardly, so this was much needed and great to get back into the swing of things. =)

You did great! I wish I could have made it to the Quaker sale, but we were too busy at the beach:)

I was looking forward to a relaxing shopping week, but it turned into anything but. Hopefully my little one and I will be able to get our shopping day next week...with no storms on the horizon.
