Publix: Ice cream and applesauce

This week's Publix ad was very disappointing for me.  I was hoping for some great deals on tuna fish, or canned beans, or jam, or canola oil - I'm almost out of those items in my stockpile.  But nope, the usual deals on food that I either have plenty stocked, or that I don't have the right coupons for, or that I just don't want to get.

I might have just skipped Publix this week, but for the great deal on Ben & Jerry's ice cream!  I would have bought more, but 1) my freezer is still pretty full, despite eating from it this week; and 2) the manufacturer's coupon stated that you could use only 2 like coupons per shopping trip.  Boo.... I hate that wording!  I will have to make another trip to get more before the sale is over!

Here's what I did get:

2 Ben & Jerry's ice cream, 16 oz, @ BOGO $4.79
- 2 $1/1 Ben & Jerry's Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream, exp. 7/22/12 (RP 06/24/12 R)
- 2 75¢/1 Ben & Jerry's Whole Foods coupon
=  $1.29 for two, or 65¢ each

4 Mott's applesauce cups @ 3/$5.00 = $6.67
- 2 $1.10/2 Mott's Applesauce or Medleys Snack printable
=  $4.47 for four, or $1.12 each

Tax: 29¢

Total out of pocket: $6.05
Total saved compared to Publix full prices: $13.37
