Save on dermatology

Need to see a dermatologist?  Here's how to save on your visit:

  • Check your health insurance - dermatology may be one of the services that are covered.  Check to see if you'll need to only pay a co-pay, or if you will need to pay more up-front.  You may need to get a referral from your primary care physician.
  • Check out over-the counter skin products before you get those prescribed by a physician.  You may find a product that works for you, and is a lot cheaper.  There may even be coupons available for your products, and if you watch for a sale, you can save lots!
  • Do your homework.  Ask friends and family for advice on finding the right dermatologist.  Don't forget to search on the Internet - search for "brachytherapy dermatologist " if that's what you're looking for, for instance. But be sure to call the dermatologists you find and ask about their services and costs.
