Save on amplifiers

Looking to buy a guitar amplifier?  Check these tips:

  • Buy used! Lots of people buy amplifiers because they think they're going to be the next rock star, then give up when they figure out how much work and time it will take to play guitar well.  Check yard sales and thrift shops for amplifiers, and look on your local Craigslist.
  • Ask at local instrument stores if they have used amplifiers.
  • Buy on eBay - check the seller's zip code to see if it is near you.  If you are the winner you may be able to pick it up directly.  That way, you save on shipping as well.
  • If you buy new, do your research!  Decide what kind of amplifier meets your needs, whether it be Vox Amps or amps from another company. Don't buy more than you need.  Check online for prices and keep shipping costs in mind as well.
