Publix: Love those Recyclebank coupons!

I skipped Publix last week because I was participating in the Disney World Half Marathon, so I went earlier this week to catch the deals before the sales week ended. I used my Publix ad matchup for South Florida to help me find the great deals!

I was excited about the gas card deal, where you can purchase a $50 gas card for every $25 in groceries you buy. My Publix was out of $50 gas cards, but when I asked about it, I was told that I could substitute two $25 cards. Yay!

I also had a $5 off $50 Doris Italian Market coupon from Recyclebank that I was excited to use. I thought I might be able to use the $10 off $100 Doris coupon that I had from a flyer, but the fine print said that gift cards were excluded. So I saved that coupon for another time.

I didn't buy enough groceries to hit $50, but I did buy two packages of Goodnites for my daughter, which put me over $50.  I paid for them with my Flexible Savings Account.  So I am not counting them here, but they did count toward my total.

- 2 $0.75/1 Cheerios, Multi-Grain printable
= $6.50 for four, or $1.63 each

2 Prego pasta sauce @ BOGO $2.69
- $0.75/2 Prego Jars of Italian Sauce, exp. 3/31/12 (SS 01/08/12 #2)
=  $1.94 for two, or 97¢ each

Total product before coupons: $24.80 ($64.78 after Goodnites purchase)
