Winn-Dixie: 3-day sale disappoints

I don't normally shop at Winn-Dixie - their prices are higher than those at Publix, and their store brands are beaten by ALDI. But I saw their ad for their 3-day sale and decided to take a swing by today. (Yes, I said I wouldn't shop on Black Friday, but grocery shopping doesn't count, does it?) There weren't any good coupon deals for me, but some of the items had a good price even without coupons.

But I was disappointed. The Dole lettuce that was on sale was only the shredded lettuce. And the Country Hearth bread was only available in white in my store. But my kids weren't disappointed - we have ice cream in the freezer for the first time in months!

Here's what I got:

2 Blue Bell ice cream @ BOGO $7.29
= $7.29 for two, or $3.65 each

1 Winn-Dixie shredded cheese @ $1.50

2 Dole lettuce/coleslaw @ 99¢ = $1.98

1 Country Hearth bread @ 99¢
