Walgreens: Twice in two days!

I went to Walgreens twice this weekend. On Saturday, I had to pick up some medicine for a child. While there, I also got one of the deals that I missed last week when I edited my shopping list mid-trip: the Campbell's soup deal. I didn't get it last Sunday because I had forgotten the manufacturer's coupon, but this time I remembered it.  Although the Walgreens in-ad coupon said limit 3, my store ignores those limits, so I was able to get 5 at the advertised price.  Your store may stick to the limits; check with the store manager to be sure.

And I made my usual trip on Sunday. I bought two of the items that were free this week: Clabber Girl baking powder and Crest toothpaste. If you're having trouble finding the baking powder in your store - I found a bunch of baking supplies at an endcap, along with things like cornstarch, marshmallows, and chocolate chips. These are items that my Walgreens only carries seasonally, so they're not in the main grocery aisle.

Because my out-of-pocket costs were so small, I wasn't able to use any Register Rewards on these trips - the smallest one I had was $2.

Here's what I got on the two trips:

Trip 1:

5 Campbell's tomato soup @ 59¢ (with in-ad coupon) = $2.95
- $1/5 Campbell's Condensed Soup printable
= $1.95 for five, or 39¢ each

Total spent: $1.95
Total saved: $3.00

Trip 2:

1 Clabber Girl baking powder, 4 oz @ 50¢ (with in-ad coupon)
- $0.50/1 Clabber Girl, Rumford or Rumford Reduced Sodium Baking Powder printable or $0.50/1 Clabber Girl, Rumford or Rumford Reduced Sodium Baking Powder printable
= FREE

1 Crest toothpaste, 6.4 oz, @ $1.99 (receive $1 RR)
 - $1/1 Crest Toothpaste or Liquid Gel, exp. 11/30/11 (P&G 10/30/11)
= 99¢ (1¢ moneymaker after RRs)

Total product: 99¢
Tax: 12¢
Total out of pocket: $1.11
Total saved: $3.29

Combined trips:
Total out of pocket: $3.06
Total saved: $6.29
