ALDI: More stuff than usual

I took a trip over to ALDI yesterday. Since I haven't been doing as much couponing lately (due to my computer problems and a bit of laziness), I've run out of items that I usually buy with coupons, such as crackers and instant oatmeal. Since I needed those items, I chose to buy them here at ALDI, which generally has the lowest regular prices in my area.

ALDI had a great price on Red Delicious and Golden Delicious apples - $1.59 for three pounds. I bought a bag of each.  There are lots of yummy apple recipes in our future, I think!

Here's what I got this week:

1 lettuce @ $1.29
1 3-lb bag Golden Delicious apples @ $1.59
1 3-lb bag Red Delicious apples @ $1.59
2 gallons milk @ $2.79 = $5.58
3 dozen eggs @ $1.39 = $4.17
2 frozen apple juice concentrate @ 92¢ = $1.84
2 cottage cheese @ $2.19 = $4.38
1 5-lb bag flour @ $1.79
1 2-lb spaghetti @ $1.69
1 juice pouches @ $1.79
1 2-lb brown sugar @ $1.49
1 grated Parmesan cheese @ $2.39
1 garlic powder @ 99¢
1 dried basil @ 99¢
2 whole wheat bread @ $1.29 = $2.58
1 flour tortillas @ 99¢
1 woven wheat crackers @ $1.29
1 fruit and grain bars @ $1.89
1 instant oatmeal @ $1.39

Total product: $39.71
Tax: 11¢
Total out of pocket: $39.82

Aldi is good when you don't have coupons and you really wont to keep costs down

I love shopping at Aldi for their great price on milk and eggs alone. Their price on just those two products is worth the trip every week. I have a 17 yr old son who can drink a gallon of milk all by himself!
