Publix: Ah-choo!

This week, Publix had one of my favorite sales: Buy one, get one free on Scotties tissues. We go through a lot of tissues later on in the cold and flu season, so it's nice to be able to load up now in preparation for later. Also, all of the children's teachers want to have tissues for the classroom, so it's nice to be able to stock up cheaply and donate them to the classroom, to take care of all those little runny noses!

Here's what I got on today's trip:

12 boxes Scotties tissue @ BOGO $1.25 = $7.50
- 4 50¢/3 Scotties Facial Tissues, exp. 9/17/11 (RP 08/14/11)
= $5.50 for twelve, or 46¢ each

2 Ken's salad dressings, 8 oz, @ $1.00 = $2.00
- $1/2 Ken's Dressing, exp. 9/30/11 (SS 08/14/11)
= $1.00 for two, or 50¢ each

4 Keebler Chips Deluxe @ BOGO $3.49 = $6.98
- 2 $1/2 Keebler Cookies, exp. 10/2/11 (RP 08/07/11)
- B3G1 Keebler Cookies Target printable
= $1.49 for four, or 38¢ each

2 Capri Sun drinks 10 pack @ $1.79 = $3.58
- 2 $0.50/1 Capri Sun Beverage Target printable
= $2.58 for two, or $1.29 each

4 Cheerios @ $1.99 = $7.96
- 2 $1/2 Cheerios Cereals, exp. 8/27/11 (SS 07/17/11)
= $5.96 for four, or $1.49 each

Total product: $16.53
Tax: 66¢
Total out of pocket: $17.19
Total saved compared to Publix full prices: $36.15

Good Job on the Tissue Score. I am going to have to head to Publix to stock up!

Publix had the $2.00 off General Mills cereal store coupons as well, it was off of 1 box, and you could use it on Reese's Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cookie Crisp and several others. When I did this deal today, I used a Manufacturer Coupon for $1 off 2 GM cereals and bought 2 Reese's Puffs and 2 Cookie Crisp, and used 4 of the $2.00 Publix coupons and here is how I did... Total of the cereals before coupons was $3.99 per box = $15.96 minus the store coupons $8.00, minus the manu coupons -$2...total for 4 boxes of cereal after all coupons was $5.96 which made them $1.49 a box. I am very green at this, but I was so happy I did this deal that my kids thought I was crazy...it was so fun.

There is a rebate for 5.00 off 5 Keebler products. They were on a tearpad@ publix today.

@Anonymous 8:39 - great job!

@Anonymous 11:12 - I didn't see that. And I only purchased 4 Keebler products. Darn it! I still have more $1/2 coupons and can get two more prints of the Target coupon, so maybe I will get more before the sale ends. Thanks for the heads-up!
