Walgreens: Egg-cited!

I took a trip over to Walgreens today. I didn't have any Register Rewards from previous trips, but I was excited about two deals. One was the Walgreens plastic bags for 99¢ - these cost $1.89 at ALDI, so it's a great price. The other was the 99¢ eggs.

Last time they had that deal, there were only three cartons of eggs when I got there, and one was full of broken eggs. This time, they were stocked up! So I got the limit, 4 cartons. I'll be hard-boiling many of them, and then I'll have plenty of cheap protein for my daily lunch salads now (to use up all the lettuce I bought last week!).

Here's what I got:

4 dozen eggs @ 99¢ = $3.96

3 Walgreens plastic bags @ 99¢ = $2.97

1 Oral-B Advantage toothbrush at $2.99 (receive $1 Register Rewards)
- $2/1 Oral B Pulsar, CrossAction, Advantage, or 2 Indicator or Cavity Defense Manual Toothbrushes, exp. 7/31/11 (P&G 7/3/11)
= 99¢ (1¢ moneymaker after Register Rewards)

Total product: $7.92
Tax: 36¢
Total out of pocket: $8.28
Total saved compared to Walgreens full prices: $8.40
Total RRs received: $1.00
