Publix: How whining helped me

My sick kid is feeling much better today, although she's still home from school. So I was able to get out to go to Publix with her in tow.  And I was really happy when she was asking for this treat or the other, because that means she's getting back to normal.

She asked for candy and other treats, to which I said no, but when she asked for a frozen kids' meal, I decided to give in, because she hasn't eaten much all week.  Good thing, because it was the item that put me over $25, so I could use the coupon in the weekly ad to buy a $50 gas card for only $40.  (I'm not including that in the totals below.)

I paid for the gas card with cash and the food with one of the $25 Publix gift cards I won in blog contests.  See how I won $100 in Publix gift cards!

Here's what I got:

2 Friendship cottage cheese @ $2.39 = $4.78

You got a lot of shopping done with a sick kid. Between a sick toddler and no car at the house I have done very little shopping....in fact I ran to Publix and back....(total of 4 miles), just to be able to get the deals from last week's ad.

I'll be using Target Q's stacked with Sargento, as well as the Nutrition Q's for those bars to reduce OOP even further.
Also picking up FREE Honest Tea with recyclebank Q's, .50 cent Cliff & Luna bars, using Whole Foods Q's, FREE Muir Glen tomato items-with overage, stacking IP's and Whole Foods Q's, FREE Reach floss(tearpad), cheap Fiber Plus, Total & Honey Bunches, using IP's and $1/2 cereal Publix Q, very cheap 7th Generation cleaner, using Target and IP's....to name a few :)
