ALDI: Where are the shoppers?

I made a second trip to ALDI for the week on Sunday, since I have a sick child and didn't think I'd make it back for a few days.  Which so far has been true.

I expected ALDI to be much more crowded on a Sunday, but it really wasn't any more crowded than it is on a weekday morning.  To compare, Publix, which I had visited a bit earlier, was packed, with several cash registers open.  I'm kinda concerned about ALDI's future in South Florida, given the lack of business being done at what should have been a very busy time.

So, if you live in South Florida, please visit ALDI!  Here are their locations.  Their prices on food basics simply can't be beat!

Here's what I got:

1 gallon milk @ $1.99
2 dozen eggs @ 99¢ = $1.98
3 cucumbers @ 59¢ = $1.77
4 avocados @ 99¢ = $3.96
1 3 lb. bag Gala apples @ $1.99
1 bag bananas @ $1.12 (39¢/lb)
1 package flour tortillas @ 99¢
1 jar mayonnaise @ $1.99

Total spent: $15.79
