Target: Cheese! (and eggs)

We were running out of cheese and eggs this week, so I ran over to Target to get some great deals.

Cheese wasn't on sale this week (sigh) but by combining Target store coupons with manufacturer's coupons, I was still able to get a great deal.  Eggs were on sale, but for more than ALDI's regular price.   However, I had a coupon from a Target home mailer for eggs, so with the coupon, the total price was cheaper than ALDI.

Here's what I got:

4 Kraft shredded cheese @ $2.24
- 2 $1/50/2 Kraft cheese Target coupon
- 2 $1/2 Kraft cheese manufacturer's coupon from the 1/23 SmartSource insert
=  $3.96 for 4 packages, or 99¢ each

2 Kraft 2% singles @ $3.04
- 1 $1/2 Kraft sandwich cheese Target coupon
- 2 75¢ off manufacturer's coupon from the 1/9 SmartSource insert
= $3.58 for two packages, or $1.79 each

1 dozen Grade A large eggs @ $1.29
- 50¢ off eggs Target mailer coupon
= 79¢ for a dozen eggs

After subtracting off 5¢ for a reusable bag, I spent $8.28 for items worth $16.33, or a 49% savings.  Not bad considering the cheese was not on sale!

links are not working. I went to target yesterday and did the same cheese deal. My cheese was $2.49 instead of $2.24. My area of Minnesota is more costly on food I guess. I was hoping there was new coupons at target and found your link not working.

Thanks for the catch on the link not working. I've fixed it, it should work now. Sorry!
