Drugstore Bootstrap Challenge: Backtracking a bit

I'm doing the Drugstore Bootstrap Challenge (join me!), where I'm trying to build up my collection of Register Rewards from Walgreens and Extra Care Bucks from CVS.

This week, there really weren't any great moneymakers, though there were a few freebies at Walgreens - I was able to get tampons and deodorant for free.  And at CVS, I got some free jellybeans.  But other than that, I wasn't able to increase my amount of Extra Care Bucks at CVS and Register Rewards at Walgreens.  Still, having only paid $2.23 in cash between the two stores, I think I did pretty well.

Here's my latest stats for the month of February:

Walgreens:

Total cash paid: $22.33
Total tax paid: $3.68

RRs on hand: $21

CVS:
Total cash paid: $15.29
Total tax paid: $2.48
ECBs started with: $4.99
ECBs on hand: $12.57

Total items purchased:

Since I had blown the no more than $10 out of pocket as of last week, I didn't worry too much about this week. There really isn't anyway to stock up on RR's without spending a lot.
I will be doing my final blog post for your challenge maybe tomorrow, but maybe later....time is not on my side these days!
I did get the Dove deoderant today as well as the tampons....among other things that I was buying to pack for our new home which is set to close March 2!

You can do the Arnicare gel deal all month. There is a coupon for $1.50 inside the package, making it a moneymaker.

OMG Laura. I used to be so good about couponing, rewards, rebates and all. I really can't afford not to be. I've got to get busy with it again. What a great deal you did with these two stores. Thanks for coming by and entering my giveaway. And I'm so happy to have you as a new follower. I'm following you on GFC and subscribed to your emails too. I'm looking forward to becoming friends.

Have a wonderful day...Tracy :)

Last week I did not get to Walgreens and since there is nothing this week I wanted I cashed in the $2.00 bucks I had on dish soap and 2 cans of bumble bee tuna. After flyer coupons it cost me out of pocket 25 cents. I am happy , will post about it on my blog soon.
