Wednesday Weekly Shopping: Half the budget!

I invite you to link up to your best grocery deals below!

I only spent a bit over half my usual budget of $80 this week!

The main reasons for this were:
1.  I had visitors, who bought a lot of groceries on their own, and we also ate out a few times. (Also, that is why there haven't been as many posts on this blog this week.)
2.  I started using my husband's Flexible Savings Account debit card to pay for my daughter's Goodnites.
3.  I discovered a new way to save on groceries, a tip that I have never read about before!  I will share my method next week, I promise!

We bought a lot of shredded cheese this week.  The $2/2 blinkies for Kraft cheese expired on Sunday, and I had accumulated a lot of them - each time I went to the grocery store, I picked one or two up.  So I bought a lot of shredded cheese on sale this week.  It's now in the freezer - shredded cheese freezes well, though blocks of cheese don't do so well in the freezer.  So I shouldn't have to buy cheese for, oh, maybe a few weeks, seeing as we all love cheese here in my household.

Altogether I spent $44.78 for groceries worth $89.68, or just over 50% savings.

See everything I bought here.

Check out the following to see how others shopped this week!

How did your shopping go this week? What bargains did you get? Please leave a link to your blog post about your weekly shopping. Please link up directly to your post, not to the blog itself. I'd appreciate it if you put a link to Wednesday Weekly Shopping in your post as well. If you don't have a blog, please leave a comment!
