Giveaway: Organizing from the Inside Out

Update: This giveaway has ended.  Click here for a giveaway for 10,001 Ways to Live Large on a Small Budget.

This week, in honor of the Clear Out the Clutter Challenge, I'm hosting a giveaway for the book Organizing from the Inside Out: The Foolproof System For Organizing Your Home, Your Office and Your Life by Julie Morgenstern.

Morgenstern, the founder of a professional organizing company, gives you proven techniques to conquer your clutter.  Instead of buying some containers and putting your stuff in them, she guides you in your clutter removal by first having you take stock of what's working in your organizing (or lack thereof) and what's not working, and why you want to be organized in the first place.

She encourages the use of the kindergarten model, where an area has zones specifically for certain activities; the items for those activities should be stored in the area.  And she helps you create a plan of attack for the most clutter-collecting areas, like kitchens, home-based offices, and household information centers.

This book was originally in my book collection; I decided to part with it during my own clutter cleaning.  It is a used book, but it is in very good condition - it is the kind of book I would definitely sell online.  The cover is shiny, the pages are crisp, the binding is excellent, and there are no marks in the book itself (there is a small marker mark on the bottom of the book pages).

You can enter this giveaway up to four times by leaving a comment below.  Here's how you can win:
1.  Leave a comment about your biggest challenge in organizing or clutter removal.
2.  Follow me on Twitter and leave a comment saying you're following.
3.  Subscribe to my RSS feed, and leave a comment saying you've subscribed.
4.  Become a fan on Facebook and leave a comment saying you've become a fan.

For the last three, if you're already a follower, a fan, and/or a subscriber, just leave a comment saying you've already done so.

This giveaway ends on April 14th, 2010 at 11:59 pm.  Good luck!

I don't know what it is about kids and clutter but they attract each other like magnets. I rarely buy my kids toys (because I don't have to!), but they've got toys coming out the whazoo!

My biggest challenge is trying to keep toys out of the livingroom and preventing my two little tornadoes from destroying all my hard labor. I rarely succeed lol.

My biggest problem is all the freebies I get from CVS and other places, but can't use up quick enough. I have it somewhat organized, but there's always more. I think it's time to take a trip to the local woman's shelter and donate stuff they can use much moreso than I can.

My desk is my biggest challenge. The papers just continually pile up, feel like I'm always buried in paperwork.

My biggest challenge is buying items on sale, and then I have too many around. Even if I use the stuff later on, storing it all makes my house "feel" cluttered. Reality check: it "is" cluttered.

My biggest clutter challenge is paper. Mail, school papers, coupons. Paper has taken over my house.

My biggest challenge is paper too. I love magazine and clip out what I find interesting. It really adds up over time and I need a way to sort it so I can find what I need when I need it!

It's been piling up for such a long time it's hard to get motivated to get started. It is never ending with kids. Thanks
