Saving Money on Flowers / Teleflora Bouquet Giveaway

Is there anything more classic than sending flowers for Mother's Day?

Here are a few tips for saving money on flower arrangements for Mom:
  • If it's in season, try picking your own from your garden.  Arrange with other foliage from your plants and shrubs.
  • Consider making flowers out of tissue paper.  You can search for lots of great directions to make these.
  • Or, consider purchasing artificial flowers from a craft store.  You can often find coupons for craft store purchases in the Sunday newspaper.
  • Give a flowering potted plant - it will live much longer, as long as the recipient cares for it well.
  • If you're purchasing cut flowers, look for flowers that are in-season and native to your area.
  • Look for alternate places to purchase flowers.  I have often seen discount flower bouquets at ALDI.  Most grocery stores also have a floral department.
  • Stop by your local florist at the end of the day - perhaps there are arrangements and bouquets that they can sell you at a discount.  It doesn't hurt to ask!
  • Try getting an arrangement sent on a day other than the big holidays like Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.  A florist might charge a premium for delivery on those big days.
If you're looking to order flowers for Mother's Day, try Teleflora flowers!  They have beautiful arrangements in many sizes and colors - you're bound to find the perfect arrangement for Mom!

For instance, check out the Always A Lady arrangement shown above. Isn't it just gorgeous? It consists of one dozen white roses with pink asiatic lilies and variegated pittosporum in a classic clear glass vase. This item is hand-arranged and delivered by a local Teleflora florist. It's valued at $72.95 + $14.95 delivery.

Mom would definitely love this, or any of the other elegant Teleflora arrangements. To learn more about Teleflora, follow Teleflora on Facebook.

Would you like to have this beautiful arrangement sent to a loved one for free?

My own personal favorite Teleflora Bouquet is the Wishes Come True birthday cake with candles shaped bouquet!

But I really want the flowers for my mom who we just found out has lymphoma, stomach and lung cancer and is currently going thru radiation and she lives 5 hours away from me. If I could get her ANY bouquet I'd get her the Teleflora Heartstrings Red Roses bouquet bc of all the flowers she always says that red roses are her very favorite. I love how they have the beautiful sparkling heart necklace around the vase too. (When she was recently helicoptered to a an ICU at a hospital closer to me for awhile I tried to buy her red roses at the gift shop but then I saw on the fridge door that patients in the ICU couldnt have flowers in their room. ) SO I still owe her a bouquet now that she's home.

Thank you to both blogger and Teleflora for this sentimental giveaway opportunity.

Oh boy! This time of year I just love the seasonally joyful Spring Favorites and the Tulip Song Planters. The Simply Sublime Bouquet truly sublime.

My 90 year old Mom especially loves Orchids - so for Mothers Day I might choose either the Zen Artistry or the http://www.teleflora.com/flowers/bouquet/imagination-blooms-with-cymbidium-orchids-372992p.asp for her special day.

Teleflora's Possibly Pink is the one I think my mother would like. She likes simple and different and that one matches well. They do have some mighty lovely arrangements and a variety of prices which is a good then a company can do for its business is make it affordable for all and if you want to spend more there are awesome dispkays of flowers
