Giveaway: Artisan Beaded Necklace from World Vision Catalog

With the holiday season upon us, many of us want to give not only to our families and friends, but to give to charity as well.  Here's a way to do both - choose a gift from the World Vision Gift Catalog!

When you make a donation to the World Vision Gift Catalog Maximum Impact Fund, your donations will be used where resources are most desperately needed, to help children and families in struggling communities around the world. With a financial contribution, the gift giver can select one of 36 Maximum Impact items that can be given to a loved one and at the same time help a person in need.

For instance, check out this beautiful Artisan Beaded Necklace!   Handmade in Thailand, this colorful necklace can be worn several different ways — even as a multi-stranded bracelet. Approximate size is 44" around (22" long when worn as a single necklace).

I had the chance to receive an Artisan Beaded Necklace, and I found it to be a simple yet lovely gift! It arrived in a small silky bag, perfect for gift presentation.  I loved how the large colorful round glass beads, interspersed with medium cylindrical beads, were knotted into the triple strands that make up the necklace.  Between each pair of circular and cylindrical beads were three smaller beads in different colors.

The long length made it a lovely decorative accessory for a button-down blouse or sweater.  You can double it over, and it becomes a shorter necklace that I could still put on (there is no clasp).  Looped six times around my wrist, it became a chunky and fun bracelet.

I definitely will be wearing this necklace to holiday events!

Would you like to purchase an Artisan Beaded Necklace, or to give one as a gift?  Visit the World Vision Gift Catalog to choose the Artisan Beaded Necklace or one of the other lovely gifts, including a wooden spoon set, a silk scarf, or a fair-trade coffee set.  Or consider giving directly to the World Vision organization to help others in need.

Or would you like to receive an Artisan Beaded Necklace for free?

Frugal Follies is giving away one Artisan Beaded Necklace from the World Vision Gift Catalog!  The colors of the necklace may vary from that pictured above.

To enter, use the Rafflecopter below! This giveaway is open to US residents 18 and older.  This giveaway ends on Monday, December 10, 2012, at 11:59 pm.  One winner will be chosen randomly soon after the end of the giveaway.  The winners will be contacted by email, and the winners must respond within 72 hours.  If a winner does not respond, that person will be ruled ineligible and another winner will be chosen. This giveaway is in no way associated with Facebook.
