Walgreens: A great cashier!

I don't usually rave about the customer service at Walgreens - in fact, it is usually lacking.  But this week, I had a great experience!

I didn't see a lot I wanted to get this week at Walgreens, but there was a good coupon deal for Hallmark cards - after the coupon, the 99¢ cards were 33¢ each.  It also gave Balance Rewards points, but I don't do deals for Balance Rewards points; getting them is just an extra bonus for me.

When the cashier rang up the cards, the Balance Rewards points weren't credited.  She noticed this immediately and called for a manager.  The manager checked it out, went to the office to get some paperwork, then came back and used the register to have the points credited.

Thanks so much to this great cashier!

Here's the deal I got:

3 Hallmark cards @ 99¢ = $2.97
- $2/3 Hallmark cards coupon
= 97¢ for three, or 33¢ each (+ 1000 Balance Rewards points)

Total product: 97¢
Tax: 18¢

Total out of pocket: $1.15
Total saved compared to Walgreens full prices: $2.00
