Sunday evening is the start of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. It's a two-day holiday. Each evening (Sunday night and Monday night) we have a holiday dinner, including apples and honey for a sweet New Year, as well as a round challah to symbolize the cycle of life.
I usually make an apple-based dessert for dinner. This year, my youngest asked for apple strudel. I've never made it before, so I hope it comes out well!
So here are my dinner plans:
Monday - round challah, apples and honey, chicken soup with matzo balls, roast chicken, kasha varnishkes, maple-glazed carrots, salad, apple strudel.
Tuesday - fettuccine alfredo, salad
Wednesday - chicken stir-fry over brown rice
Thursday - red pepper whole wheat pizza
Friday - baked salmon, tabbouleh, salad, challah
Saturday - banana pancakes
Sunday - dinner out!
