CVS: Money-making deodorant!

I wasn't too excited about this week's deals at CVS, but one caught my eye: a money-making deal on Tom's of Maine deodorant!  So that was all I got this week.

There were other deals that looked good, but many of the deals this week were only for a particular region.  For instance, I read that General Mills cereals were on sale for $1.88 each.  Using this coupon for $1.00 off 2 General Mills adult cereals or for $1.00 off 2 boxes Cheerios cereals, if I bought two boxes, each box of cereal would cost $1.38 - below my target price of $1.50 per box.

But in my local ad, the deal was buy three boxes for $10 and receive $3 in Extra Care Bucks.  That means that if I bought three boxes and used one coupon, I'd spend $6 for three boxes after ECBs - $2 per box.  Not a good deal for me!

Here's the deal I did get:

1 Tom's of Main Naturally Dry anti-perspirant/deodorant @ $3.19 (receive $1 ECB)
- $2.50/1 Tom's of Maine Naturally Dry Antiperspirant, exp. 8/11/12 (SS 06/17/12)
= 69¢ (31¢ moneymaker after ECBs)

Total product: 69¢
Tax: 20¢

Total out of pocket: 89¢
Total saved compared to CVS full prices: $4.80
ECBs received: $1
