CVS: Suave savings

On my CVS trip yesterday, I decided to try the CVS deal on Suave products: Buy $12 in certain Suave products, get $4 in Extra Care Bucks.  Unforunately, I only had one set of coupons, so I had to make do with what I had.  Still, I think I did okay!

Two odd things happened: first the B2G1 coupon for the body wash rang up as $3 instead of $2.  And then when I checked the receipt, I noticed that the 50¢ off coupon had been rung up twice.  I'm going to have to go back and show these irregularities to the manager.

I also bought two cans of Bumble Bee tuna and used my Recyclebank coupon to get them for 38¢ each.  And I couldn't resist buying a bottle of Purex laundry detergent, even though I did not have any coupons for that.

Here's what I got:

3 Suave Naturals body wash @ $2.00 = $6.00 (receive $4 ECB wyb $12 in products)
- B2G1 Suave Naturals coupon from the 1/8 RedPlum (rang up as $3)
= $3.00 for three, or $1.00 each

2 Suave Kids 2in1 shampoo @ $1.50 = $3.00 (receive $4 ECB wyb $12 in products)
- $1/2 Suave Kids' hair product from the 1/8 RedPlum insert
= $2.00 for two, or $1.00 each

1 Suave Naturals body lotion @ $3.00 (receive $4 ECB wyb $12 in products)
- 50¢ off Suave body lotion from the 1/8 RedPlum insert (rung up twice?)
= $2.00

2 Bumble Bee chunk white tuna @ 88¢ = $1.76
- $1/2 Bumble Bee Product (Recyclebank)
= 76¢ for two, or 38¢ each

1 Purex laundry detergent @ $1.99

Total product: $9.75
Pay with $9 in ECBs from previous weeks
Total product after ECBs: 75¢

Tax: 84¢
Total out of pocket: $1.59
Total saved compared to CVS full prices: $26.66
