CVS: Olive oil at the drugstore

I've often written about buying groceries at the drug stores, and how it can be a good deal at Walgreens or CVS. But usually the good food deals are on cereal or snacks or peanut butter. Not "real food."

But this week, I was surprised to find a great deal at CVS on... extra-virgin olive oil!

The Filippo Berio brand was on sale for $3.99 for a 16-oz bottle. With a $1 off coupon, this made it $2.99, an excellent deal in my book.

Here's what I got at CVS:

2 Filippo Berio extra-virgin olive oil @ $3.99 = $7.98
- 2 $1 off Filippo Berio printable coupons
= $5.98 for two, or $2.99 each

2 Band-Aid plastc strips 60 ct @ $3.59 = $7.18
1 Neosporin @ $5.89
(Purchase $7 in Band-Aid or Neosporin, receive $3 ECB)
- 1 $1.50 off Band-Aid AND Neosporin from the 4/17 Smartsource, the 5/15 Redplum, or printable
- 1 50¢ off Band-Aid OR Neosporin from the 4/17 Smartsource insert
- $3 off $10 health care products CVS store coupon from the in-store coupon printer
= $8.07 for three items

1 Finesse shampoo @ $2.50
- (there should be a $1 off coupon here, but it appears it wasn't rung up.  Aargh!)
= $2.50 (I will also do the $2 rebate from the 5/8 Smartsource insert, making it 50¢ after rebate)

Total product: $16.55
Pay with $7.77 ECBs from this trip
Total after ECBs: $8.78
Tax: 14¢
Total out of pocket: $8.92
Saved: $26.26

Good job! I've been hearing about the rebate for the Finesse. Is it found on the product or was a coupon that came in the paper?
